SKD Active Scripts Backup

This is a private operator’s desktop backup utility, not a public backup service or part of the CareFlow practice-management website.

What it does

The utility encrypts and deduplicates a local scripts directory with restic, then uses rclone to store the encrypted repository in the operator’s chosen Google Drive folder. It runs on the operator’s own computer; this website only explains the utility and does not receive backup files.

The planned schedule is nightly, with approximately seven daily, four weekly, and twelve monthly restore points. The operator can restore a selected snapshot using the repository password.

Why it requests Google Drive access

Google’s Drive authorization grants the desktop client broad Drive file access. The utility configures rclone to use the operator’s designated backup folder and needs to create, read, update, and remove encrypted repository objects there as backups and retention run. It is not intended to read or modify unrelated Drive files.
