Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

SKD Active Scripts Backup is a single-operator desktop utility. This policy describes the utility’s use of Google Drive data; the public informational pages do not accept file uploads or account sign-ins.

Google Drive access and use

The operator grants the desktop utility Google Drive access through OAuth. The authorization scope can access files throughout the account, but the configured backup workflow uses the operator-selected Drive folder. It creates and maintains an encrypted restic repository there, reads repository data to verify backups and restore files, and deletes obsolete encrypted repository objects only when the retention policy runs. It is not designed to scan, sell, or use other Drive files.

Storage and sharing

Source files are encrypted on the operator’s computer before backup objects are uploaded to Google Drive. Google stores those encrypted objects, along with ordinary object metadata such as names, sizes, and timestamps. The restic repository password and the OAuth token are held in protected files on the operator’s computer, outside the source directory. The utility does not send source files or Google user data to this informational website or a separate application server, and does not sell or share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers.

Retention and control

The operator controls backup retention and can stop the scheduled task, remove the backup repository from Drive, or revoke this utility’s Google access from their Google Account. Revocation stops future Drive access; it does not automatically remove backup objects already stored in the operator’s Drive.

These static pages use no application analytics or forms. Their hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process ordinary web-request metadata to deliver and protect the pages. This website is not in the backup data path.
